Leonard was the oldest male grandchild of Yucho Chow. His army uniform costume reminds us that when this photo was taken, in the early 1940s, the Second World War was raging. This was one of two photos of Leonard where he is dressed in a military uniform: the other photo shows Leonard posing in an Air Force outfit.
